2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP 40th Anniversary 4 door 3.8 supercharged
Summary:
Wow, what a steal for a special car
Faults:
The car was ditched in winter & pulled out backwards via the lateral links. Needless to say passenger's rear links were bent & broken. Got a hold of my son who looked up on the Internet & told me only approx. 3000 were made & to haul ass & get it. Met the owner & pulled out 4 one hundred dollar bills which he grabbed. Spent $740 on it & did the labour myself. Drove it for 2.5 years with no problems. It is now parked & will get a complete restoration as I`m now retired. I think I damn stole this beauty, & will have a real winner when done. You can rest assured this car will only come out for show & shines, & my son will end up with her when I`m done with it.
General Comments:
Head turner, fast, great mileage (35 MPG Imperial).
Rides like a dream & quite pretty. Dark cherry paint, leather interior with 40th anniversary embossed on the seats. Supercharged don`t hurt either.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

It is true that all the GTP cars were supercharged.
It is also true that the 40th Anniversary package was available on both the GTP and the GT, the latter powered by the NA 3.8 liter. If your 40th Anniversary is not supercharged, then it is the GT, not the GTP, and not particularly rare.
