2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT 3.8 Series III
Summary:
Reliable
Faults:
Had to get two front strut mounts replaced, control arm bushing replaced (both sides), and a wheel alignment. Also replaced both brake rotors and pads on the front, just wear & tear stuff.
General Comments:
I love these cars, great interior, although the cupholders were a little clumsy, but at least they're there.
Transmission changes gears smoothly & quickly, motor is very sufficient in power. Handling is very impressive with the sport suspension, it's actually very smooth on the road.
The car is very easy on the eyes, when it's clean, keep that once-a-year car wax on 3 times a year, and I found that the dirt & dust just rinses right off.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I'm not sure why you are complaining about a blown transmission when you modified your car beyond its limits. I'm impressed that you got 55k miles out of your transmission with the upgraded pulley and ECU on the supercharger. You bought a performance sedan, not an all out sports car like your last vehicle. A rebuilt tranny should not cost you more than a thousands dollars (not installed). If you want to go fast, you have to pay to play. Good luck.
