2000 Pontiac Montana
Summary:
I love the comfort of the Montana, but the maintenance gets pricey
Faults:
I share almost all of the same concerns as others who have purchased this vehicle.
First, I began having problems with the electrical wiring. My turn signals blink erratically, and the left brake light stopped working. The dash lights flicker when the turn signal is on. The ABS light has come on and stayed on. The drivers side window started getting stuck, and we had to manually pull the window into place and leave it there. The estimate to fix it was over $700.
We had to replace both tie rods before we hit 100,000 miles, which cost us over $700. Also, we have had to replace the rear wheel cylinders, which were leaking. There is also a slow oil leak. I'm afraid to find out how much it would cost to fix it.
General Comments:
Due to the electrical problems and the consistent problems with the wheel and braking systems, we will probably get rid of this vehicle sooner than we had hoped, and replace it with a Honda.
