2001 Pontiac Montana
Summary:
All around EXCELLENT van in my opinion
Faults:
Since purchasing my van, I have replaced both front wheel bearings, brakes all around, tires, plugs and wires, starter and battery.
The first wheel bearing replaced was done so as soon as it was bought. The person that sold it put it up for sale because of a howling coming from the front!!
The interior is in excellent shape and the body has very little rust.
My tranny did go out on me last week. But I wasn't surprised because of the mileage on it. Worth the fix for me, for sure.
General Comments:
I absolutely love my van, and will definitely be buying another one when this one is finally done. I think that it does awesome in the snow (and I am deathly afraid of driving in the stuff!). It handles great and has decent gas mileage.
I bought my van with a lot of miles on it, and expected to have to put some money into it. Surprisingly, I haven't had to do a whole lot. This van has not broke me yet!! My mechanic did tell me that I do have a small intake leak, but to just keep an eye on it. There is also a small lifter tick. This tick has been there since the first day I bought it, and it has not gotten any louder or caused any problems since.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know
