Faults:

The cross-over hose on top of the motor split open at about 47,000 miles. The dealer had it in stock and it was easy to replace myself.

General Comments:

This little car has plenty of power and a lot of style for a reasonable price.

This was an old car when I purchased it. However, it was in such good shape and had so few miles that I could not pass it up.

The paint looks almost new.

The ride feels like a new car.

The motor sounds like a new car.

I bought it because it was cheap then discovered that I really like the car.

I have been getting the general maintenance done on schedule and I hope this car last a long time.

In my job I drive more than the average person and I go through cars very quickly. When I wear it out I will be sad to see it go.

Faults:

Fuel Sender was sticky.

General Comments:

No matter what others say this car has given me the best service I ever had from any car.

It has never left me stranded and starts right up no matter how hot or cold it is.

However its not for speed fanatics. Had new shocks, springs and 15" Alloys with low profile tires put in and it now rides like new car.

Excellent Gas mileage.

Faults:

The first thing to go was the head gasket at 150,000 miles.

The next thing to go was the alternator. (Because of sound system). 165,000.

The next and most costly was the motor itself, 160,000 miles.

After the new motor there wasn't any problems for 5 months then the starter went.

After replacing that, there haven't been any problems.

General Comments:

This car hasn't been that great as far as parts, but it has proved itself in the long run.

After replacing the motor, I knew that there were going to be other problems because you can't just replace just one part of an engine right?

The car by itself doesn't look all that great plain, but after tinting the windows, installing a premium sound system, an under-body kit, Zenon headlights, fog lights, adding a windsheild banner, and custom painting the interior, the car looks awesome.

This is a good car if you want a cheap "pimped out" look. The cosmetics for this car are really cheap and very easy to put on yourself.

Overall the car gets me where I have to go and throws a little style out there.

Just remember, the smallest thing you do to this car will make it stand out pretty well.

Faults:

The alternator died at 50k because of a bad remote starter installation.

A radiator hose cracked a few weeks ago. (hey...it's 10 years old)

General Comments:

This car has awesome pickup and makes a perfect noise when it's floored.

The red paint looks brand new.

The white rag top is still in great condition!

My Sunbird was one of like 100...It's an SSE Convertible with white leather seats, white 16" rims, and the "sunbird" lettering is in white graffiti. He looks great and takes me everywhere (more than 20k in 8 months.. on a car owned by an old lady that never drove it) Yeah Yeah it looks like a toy and my friends call it the Barbie Car... buuut I love it.
