1994 Pontiac Sunbird LE 2.0
Summary:
Not a bad deal
Faults:
At about 95,000 miles, the heater core blew and I had to have it replaced.
I also replaced the thermostat.
At about 110,00 miles, the radiator blew and I had to have that replaced.
At the current moment, my car just cuts out on me. If I have the air on, it will shut off in about 5 minutes. If the air is off, I can drive for about 45 minutes to an hour, but if I get stuck in traffic or at a lot of lights, it will shut off. I'm not too sure what the problem is.
Also, the dash has separated just above the radio which is a bit annoying.
General Comments:
The car has been reliable besides the current problem that I am having with it which is listed above.
It gets excellent gas mileage.
Although I think the car has been very safe, reliable, and economical, I would not buy another Sunbird.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Update #2: I currently have about 155,000 miles on the car and it's still running well. Not sure if anyone had this problem, but according to my mechanic, Sunbirds are prone to blowing the 30 amp fuse for the blower motor, cooling fan, and ABS. My mechanic fixed the problem by isolating the cooling fan from the fuse block and using an in line fuse instead. Summer is over and I hope to sell the car this winter so I may never know if it fixed the problem totally.

Update: I originally wrote this review but would like everyone who reads this to know that I fixed the problem with the car cutting out while driving. My problem was the crankshaft sensor. It's located behind the timing cover which means that the timing belt and the water pump need to come off to remove and install the new one. It's about a 4 hour job so it could be pricey.
