Faults:

Horn switch at the steering wheel, that took the dealer two attempts to replace at 35000 miles, now the horn itself should be replaced.

Front struts need to be replaced now.

Front brakes wear quickly, then again it could be my driving...

General Comments:

The car has good acceleration and handling.

The cost of ownership is very low, gas mileage is 28+ mpg, and I'm on the same set of tires since buying the car over 35000 miles ago.

It's a little too small for me, 5'11", 230 lbs.

Faults:

At 127,000 I replaced the battery and alternator.

At 130,000 I replaced the headlight switch.

At 130,000 had fuse replaced for horn and cigarette lighter.

At 145,000 I replaced the belt.

At 146,000 I replaced the brakes.

General Comments:

The passenger seat broke with only light weight applied to it.

The car is loud when driven on the highway.

It whistles when it is cold or wet outside.

There is something weird going on with the gas gage.

It never gets to empty no matter what.

Uncomfortable for my passengers to get in and out of the back seat.

Great stereo.

Had a few recalls fixed.

I hate moving my cup to get to some of the controls.

Lots of trunk room, but the opening could be larger.

The outside and inside still looks brand new.

A/C gets very cold.

Front seats are very comfy, but the backseat is uncomfortable.

Faults:

My belt, battery and alternator went at 65,000 miles.

I needed a new belt tensioner and tires at 80,000 miles.

I have gone through 3 pairs of front wheel disk brakes in the past 2 years I've had it.

I got a pair of rear wheel drum brakes that were put on at 90,000 miles.

General Comments:

This car has a sleek design that gets a lot of attention.

People always come up to me commenting on how nice the car is.

The belt does squeak, but only when it rains.

The car whistles when it's still cold.

Faults:

The altenator and battery went at about 62,000 miles, rear 4-way lights have a short in them.

General Comments:

I like the Pontiac Sunfire SE.

The gas gauge floats, had to get that fixed, found out the hard way it wasn't working right.

The car handles very well.

I'm 6 foot 1 and I drive the Sunfire, and I have a lot of head and leg room up front, but the back seats are a different story.

The car has never given us any problems, and the car has acceptable torque and power for its size.

It has crude anti-lock brakes though.

All in all, it's a nice car with a great sounding stereo system.

The car is very responsive I might add.
