1999 Pontiac Sunfire SE 2.4L Twin Cam
Summary:
This is a very reliable car and a very great first car
Faults:
The front rotors and brake pads were replaced before I got the car.
I only thing that I had to replace was the rear brake drums, shoes, and return springs which ran about $130.
General Comments:
The interior is very comfortable and it is actually very spacious.
The 2.4L Twin Cam is a beast, very responsive with great acceleration linked up with the 5 speed manual transmission.
The car is very sporty and it looks more expensive than it is really valued at.
The trunk has a lot of cargo space and the rear seats fold down for even more space.
The car handles very well with a smooth ride, with no annoying cabin or road noises.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Funny that you mention brake pads. I recently bought a 98 Sunfire (in July) and I have had to change my front brake pads once so far, but they are already squeaky starting to sound squeaky again. I'm wondering if it'll happen again..
