Nothing at all except for routine replacement parts.
Such a quiet ride.
The look is sharp.
Not too big, not too small.

Great car for a little bit of money
I have had no problems so far.
Pontiac Sunfires are a great running car. My Sunfire GT has been very good to me and the owner before me. All the tires are still the stock and look and feel great! The engine is in perfect condition and there hasn't been a problem yet. I bought the car wrecked and rebuilt the front end and now it looks good again and still runs fantastic.

Problem after problem
I have had consistent problems with the radio. It shuts off, and all power to the radio is lost including the lights, when you go over a bump, railroad tracks, put your turn signals on, or turn the wheel to the left or right. I was told the radio had an 'internal defect'. After the fifth radio was installed I don't think this is the problem.
I lost all my dashboard lighting and it had to be replaced.
The heater does not work in speeds 1 and 2. It is stuck in the "open" position and will cost $135.00 to fix.
The Body System Module has been replaced twice, because it shorts out.
Anything that has any wiring in or near the steering column has shorted out or does not work at all. It goes into the shop every six months and apparently no one at GM can figure out what is wrong with it, or how to properly fix it.
When it works it is fun to drive.
The only cars I have ever driven were Pontiac. However after owning this particular model, I will never purchase another Pontiac, or GM model car.

This car will nickle and dime you to death!
I bought this car brand new. The engine light has been on and off since I drove it off the lot, and no one can tell me why.
Less than a year after I bought it, I was replacing the ignition sensors.
It's 5 years old and on it's third transmission.
Twice I've had to replace the upper radiator hose because it rubs against the battery casing and ruptures.
The fuel gauge frequently quits working, so the day after you fill your tank it reads empty.
I must say, though, it's great in the snow! Never had a problem there.
But I will never buy a Pontiac or any other GM car again. I was 24 when I bought this, my first new car, and they have lost a customer for life.

A tow truck's best friend
My power steering pump blew at 70,000 miles costing $300.00.
My fuel pump blew at 70,000 miles costing $800.00.
I had to have the entire break system replaced at 35,000 miles costing $450.00.
The car is very unreliable.
If you have somewhere to be this is not the car for, it is always breaking down in the worst of places.
The horn only works when the car is heated up, making it dangerous if in an unsafe area.
The car sounds like you are in the drum section of a high school marching band.
It's simple.
It's a cheaply made car, GM is sneaky, sell the car for less, but make up in parts and labor.

Regarding the fact that you will not buy another GM product, let me throw this at you. I have owned 6 GM cars, all used. 1 Camaro, 2 Trans Ams, 1 Grand Prix SE, and 2 Grand Am SEs. We maintained the cars ourselves and they gave us no problems. They all nearly made the 200k mark. As a matter of fact one of our Trans Ams made it to 254k then we sold it off. Also, no insult to you, the Sunfire is not exactly GMs top of the line. It's their low end economy car. I would encourage you to test drive any one of their other models.
