Faults:

New brakes and rotors at 35,000 miles.

Flat tire on my way to the SATs (my fault)

New transmission at 45,000 miles (my fault). I drove into a ditch in the winter of 2006 after losing sight of the road, and tried to rock it out, burning a hole in the transmission.

New wheel bearing at 55,000.

Someone over 6 feet tall will be uncomfortable in the back seat, but it's kind of funny to watch.

General Comments:

This is my first car and it's been absolutely great! For such a common car, it does turn heads. Every one of my friends (except the one that is 6 feet tall and has to sit in the back) has asked me if they can have it when I get a new car.

The car performs very well for any driving situation if put in the right gear, and fuel economy is fantastic at an average 34 mpg. I bought it in early 2006 and it has given me no problems whatsoever, aside from the ones that were my fault or to be expected from age/wear. The car is extremely reliable, and has never left me stranded (except for running out of gas).

As for the car itself I have not one complaint about it, it is perfect and has everything you need. I especially like the fiberglass body, and not having to worry about rust and dents. My favorite part, aside from having 6 cup holders, is the exterior styling, and although people have complained of the interior being unexciting, it's not the most expensive car, and you should be watching the road anyway. Plus I really like the interior of the SC2.

The only reason I would not buy a car from Saturn again is the below-par treatment specifically given for those who are 18 and under, which comes from 2 Saturn dealerships. However, after owning a Saturn, I would definitely recommend this car to anyone looking for a first car, and I am sorry they let the S-Series go.

Faults:

At about 85,000 miles I started to have a bad leak around the passenger's side door. Every-time it would rain, it would rain in my car. This eventually led to me having to have my rugs taken out to be dried, because the water had built up and started to smell up the car.

The handle above the passenger's door inside the car rattles. Gets annoying because you have to pull it out to make it stop.

General Comments:

The car has great acceleration and is awesome on gas.

The seats fit me perfectly and everything is at the driver's reach.

I love how the back seats have a center console equipped with cup holders.

The car handles nicely, especially in the snow.
