1995 Toyota Avalon XLS 3.0 6 Cylinder
Faults:
The only thing that had to be changed so far, were the brakes.
General Comments:
Me, being a senior high school student, wanted to buy a car with luxury, beauty and reliability.
I tried many cars, Buick Century and LeSabre, Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla and Camry, Mitsubishi Gallant, Lexus ES300, but none had all I needed in a one good price.
LeSabre and Century were not reliable. Civic, Camry and Corolla didn't have luxury and weren't beautiful, Gallant was expensive to handle and ES300 was too expensive even the 1995 models.
Until I came by this car. Even though it had 189000 km on it, I still bought it and I don't regret a thing.
The only problem with this car is the wind noise you hear at speeds 80 km/h or higher.
It uses one gallon for each 23 miles, not very fuel efficient, but for it's size it is OK.
Before you buy it, check the brakes. Don't worry about timing belt, some of the models, like mine, have a chain instead.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

My girlfriend and I have a 1995 Toyota Avalon XL and I love it. The car rides smooth and the handling at high speeds is great. The only problem that I have is the fuel gauge. When we fill it up, the only way you will know where it is at is if it is on flat ground. Plus, when we are moving the needle always goes up and down. But other than that the car runs great. The only things we have changed where the CV shafts and CV boots, because when they are not well lubricated they will rub. Then the rubbing will tear the boots and cause a loud screeching noise. But overall, our car has 92,500 miles on it and running great.
