1996 Toyota Camry LE 2.0L
Summary:
Great car to start out with, grow a family with, and grow old with!
Faults:
Radiator and cap needed replacement at 105,000 miles.
Car ran hot, so thermostat was replaced at 110,000 miles.
Water pump gave out at 121,000 miles.
Radiator blew out at the top when it overheated.
Radiator, cap, and locked-open thermostat (due to over-heating) had to be replaced, again, at 121,000 miles.
Timing belt and and other belts (? around water pump, etc.) are cracked; replacing at 121,000 miles.
Spark-plugs and spark-plug wires need to be redone; replacing at 121,000 miles.
General Comments:
I think this car handles very well and is a smooth and comfortable ride, especially on long trips. Has some unexpected pep to it, when you need it.
It is not as tight on hard and fast curves as I'd like it... gets a little fishy, like the suspension needs some tightening. I had it checked out and was told it is just car design.
Lots of interior room and trunk space, despite its size.
Great car for young couples to start out with and accommodates a growing family very nicely. Easy to clean interior.
Good stereo sound and very comfortable seats. Safe to drive, with good line-of-sight around the car.
Over-drive button and cruise control are added bonuses, as is the great gas mileage.
Seat adjustments, interior room and configuration make this car comfy to drive for small (5'2"/101 lbs.) people like me, as well as taller people with longer legs.
All power windows/locks/radio/speakers/antenna work with no glitches. Everything has worn well, including all vinyl, steering wheel, carpet, seats, etc.
I would recommend this car to anyone... I love it!
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Toyota Camrys are great, my only comment is that this person couldn't have owned a Toyota Skylark as the Skylark is a Buick.
