1990 Toyota Corolla DX
Summary:
My car makes me happy
Faults:
When my mother and father owned what is now my car...
There was serious oil leakage from the car, no fewer than 3 times.
The rear right door handle broke around 1994 or so, due to a fight between my brother and I in the backseat.
The passenger-side door handle broke in 1997 on a camping trip.
One of the belts connected to the air conditioner was too small, causing the air conditioner to somehow kill the car when we used it.
That same belt when replaced, rubbed against the windshield wiper fluid tank creating a hole in it.
Finally, the driver-side door handle broke sometime in 1999.
Since I have owned the Corolla:
I have changed the oil twice.
The car has developed an odd jingling noise under the body. Maybe the muffler or something? I've taken it everywhere and no one can tell me what it is.
I think it sounds pretty.
General Comments:
I love my Corolla. I love it so much I have dubbed it the official title of "Coroll-out." Lame, I know, but so am I. This car has made it from my mom's hands in 1992, to my dad's hands in 1995, to finally my hands in 2002. It is my first car and I love it. Seriously, I love it. It's only been like 7 months and I've already put 10000 miles on it. Not to mention I can still trust it to get me where I'm going. The Coroll-Out is one major pimp ride.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

This post is like I'm looking in a mirror. My 1990 Corolla was my first car. Before me my mom drove it, then I got it, and then my little brother drove it as his first car. It has been sitting at my parent's house now for about a year. My dad just had the head gasket replaced. He was looking to sell it, but decided to give it to me. I love this car. I have tons of memories in it. Now since it has been sitting up a while it is dirty. I have cleaned it inside and out. I have a few bulbs out and when I bought new ones most didn't work. I'll have some investigating to do. I am pretty lame too because I call mine the "pimpolla". Its not very fast, its falling apart, but I love it anyways.
