1992 Toyota Paseo 4 Cylinder
Summary:
Very economic and a good deal
Faults:
Nothing major.
Drivers side door can't lock, and if it is accidentally locked, you can't get in.
General Comments:
This car is fast, comfortable, sporty, etc. Its everything I ever wanted in a car, and its very affordable. It has an amazing 230,000 miles on it and it still runs like its new!! I've heard on another Toyota (no idea what model) that came into a body shop, and it had a MILLION miles on it. So this car will run forever.
Every time the mechanic looks at it, he never finds anything major.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I have had my Toyota Paseo for 17 years. Love this car, never had any problems whatsoever.
Recently I have had to replace a worn part. Most recently, yesterday, the repair man says I need work done on the transmission, not sure what, there is some vibration/wobbling in the steering wheel, he balanced the tires etc., seems better, however he seems to think that when up on the lift and examining the axles etc., there seems to be too much moving around of certain parts that go to the transmission... price to fix... between $1,500 and $2,500 + he does not do transmissions so he recommended a reliable one to me... what to do?
Any suggestions please?...LLT.
