2009 Toyota Sequoia SR5 V8
Summary:
This has been a great car for me
Faults:
A/C fan motor went out at 154,000. Replaced at a local mechanic for $420. Nothing else has gone wrong other than routine maintenance.
I have not replaced timing belt as recommended at 90K miles. I really need to, but keep putting it off as it is expensive.
The A/C has never worked great, but I live in Texas and it gets really hot here. If I lived in a cooler climate, it may not be noticeable.
General Comments:
It's very comfortable for a large family, pets, etc... Great for road trips. I feel very safe in it.
I paid about $30,000 for it with 29K miles at one year old. It had been a rental car as they were only ones made that model year after big economic collapse of '08. Now with 155,000 I feel like I've gotten my money's worth bigtime.
I'm in sales and have driven the heck out of it. I'm also a woman and know nothing about cars so don't baby it at all. I only change the oil every 5,000 miles, still. I plan to give to my son when he turns 16 in December, and I'll get something smaller with better gas mileage.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

There is a cover over the timing belt; it's easy to remove and check if the belt has cracks. At these miles, the belt can snap at any time driving on the highway, and it will cost you a new engine. It happens regularly.
