2006 Toyota Sienna Limited V6
Summary:
The car is nice
Faults:
I purchased this vehicle as a dealer demo on 6/1/06. The battery was dead the day after I bought the vehicle. The service department brought a new battery to my home, however an initial trip had to be cancelled due to a vehicle that did not start.
The rear a/c did not work when I bought the car. I did not notice this until I took delivery of the vehicle.
The DVD player did not work when I bought the vehicle. This was not known until after I took delivery of the vehicle.
Today, 10/3/06, I took the vehicle to the dealership for the third time to have the rear a/c repaired.
This was the 5th trip to the dealership for repairs, since the purchase, four months ago.
The individuals in the service department were very polite and apologetic regarding all my inconveniences.
I found it very strange that I never received a customer satisfaction survey regarding the purchase of the vehicle, nor did I receive a customer satisfaction survey for any of the service visits I had to date.
General Comments:
My 2006 Toyota Sienna Limited is truly a beautiful vehicle and handles like a dream.
The point of my letter is to let consumers know that customer satisfaction surveys are meaningless. The dealership simply chooses to "delete" any survey that may come back less than satisfactory.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

I think that I would think twice about buying a dealer demo car. The dealers hold demo cars because they are vehicles that aren't likely to sell. Whether they are Toyota or any other.
I don't ever wonder why GM is at the top of the list. I know they are cheaper than Toyota cars, and you get what you pay for.
If you do a Google search on ANY vehicle, you will find a multitude of complaints, and any number of people who hate that vehicle and that car company blah blah blah.
I have owned two Toyotas: a 1985 Celica GT and a 2001 Camry LE. I loved them both. Both were good, sound cars.
I have owned one American car - a Chrysler Sebring, which we bought new in 2000. It lost HALF of its value the minute we drove it off the lot. We had to have the transmission lines replaced at 16,000 miles. So we sold it and bought a used Camry, which never had a single issue at all, right up until my husband was rear-ended on the freeway. That was last week. We will buy another Toyota.

That sums it up. You have a great van. Just like you say, people will 'blah, blah, blah' about Toyota, but we all know they're way better than anything an American car company has ever put out.

You sold a Sebring because it had bad transmission lines? You are aware that those are just little rubber tubes that lead from the radiator to the transmission? This is like, a $10 repair. What a waste of a car. Next time give me a call before you sell your American "junk."

As I read some of the comments, it is clear that TOYOTA is ready to be number one in America, but, are Americans ready to have TOYOTA as number one here??

I had problems with the Toyota dealership from where I bought a new Tacoma, and I never got the survey in mail, so I called Toyota. I complained about my problems and the dealer called me back taking care of the problem (550$ refund). And the dealer was very upset with what I did, but they had to get things straight.
So the survey might be used in your advantage.

Really makes you wonder why GM cars are at the top of the list, doesn't it?
