Faults:

No problems to date, excellent value for the money.

General Comments:

We have previously owned a 2000 Jetta TDI which we took to 240,000km and traded in on this car as the deisel was not yet available.

The Golf is comfortable for it's size (I wouldn't drive it to Florida with the kids) but it is roomy for two or four. Nice performance in the 2.0 litre, could maybe use a sixth gear in the manual trany at higher speeds to keep the rpm down. Third gear has lots of pep.

Gas mileage is good getting about 550-600km to the tank of 54 litres.
