2002 Volvo S60 Base 2.4 non turbo
Summary:
The best sedan from Volvo ever
Faults:
The ignition cylinder locked up at about 160,000 miles.
Passenger front seat ripped at seam at 125,000.
Passenger CV boot torn at 150,000.
General Comments:
The throttle response was smooth and even; no jerk.
Acceleration is strong for a non turbo.
The stereo (base model) was outstanding with chest pounding bass.
The cruise control lacks an incremental increase/decrease feature.
Driver seat adjustment and memory is a luxury that spoils the various drivers that use the car in our household.
The heated seats are addictive in fall/winter seasons.
Light cleaning wipers are a novelty that is not really needed.
Burns through rear position light bulbs almost every two months, it seemed to be a common quirk with fellow S60 owners I encountered.
Dealer service was excellent but pricey; I changed to a local independent for service.
Styling is tastefully sexy.

The problem with sharp turns and rubbing wheels - that seems to be a common complaint. Does anyone know if this problem is restricted to the AWD versions or all versions?
