General Comments:
Pros:
Exterior: styling is very attractive; mag wheels are attractive; fit of exterior parts/panels is high quality.
Interior: spacious looking; leather seats are very attractive and comfortable enough; fit and finish of interior is very good; all controls are easily reached. Rear storage area is large enough.
Performance: engine accelerates quickly, very responsive; transmission shift points are logical, smooth and gentle (A+). Comfortable yet firm ride quality. Steering in normal mode is fine. I turned off lane assist. It makes the steering wheel shudder when correcting the driving path.
Cons:
Exterior: Denim Blue paint cost an extra $650. Paint has hardly any metallic in it, almost a flat blue tone. Disappointing quality, love the color. Front and rear need some amount of a bumper. The front grille is easily exposed to damage as is the radiator and engine parts right behind it. Rear hatch is similarly vulnerable to damage as it has no protection. Poor design Volvo.
Interior: The front driver's and passenger side seating are are cramped, almost like sitting in a cockpit! Seat sits below the small center console. This is NOT a vehicle for any person with a larger than average body size or height! I am average build and 5'8" tall. If I was 5'11" tall my head would be touching the headliner!
The driver needs to rest their right arm on top of a raised console or tightly at their side. Not comfy.
Seats are comfortable and supportive. Leather construction is top notch.
Center function display controls many car functions. It takes longer to operate this display and in my opinion is a hazard to do so while driving. If my wife is not the passenger I do no use the function display while driving.
We bought this mainly for my wife who likes more luxurious cars. I don't care about that and do prefer my 2014 Honda CRV. The CRV has hardly any cons vs the Volvo.

We're not quite there yet with electric cars. I'd say another 10 years or so before I'd consider one. Charging points are also not exactly common place where I live. Not to mention the big obvious diesel generators nearby to power them makes you wonder about this whole environment thing ;)
