2008 SsangYong Actyon Xdi 2.0 turbo diesel
Summary:
The ugly duckling who grew up to be a swan
Faults:
EGR sensor at below 10k km. Replaced under warranty.
Airbag sensor at 70k km -- still iffy because I won't allow myself to pay an unpardonable amount of money just to have a computer reset.
General Comments:
Very dependable car. Fuel economy is OK; 9km per liter urban. Very comfortable and quiet. If only we had parts availability, this car would last for a longer period. It's going on 10 years next July and the only major things we changed thus far are the fuel filter, water separator, fan belt and pulley bearing.
Not bad for a 10 year old car. Because of the high depreciation value, the car is now a keeper for me. It's running great.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

We just bought a second hand Actyon and I am very impressed.
Paid bugger all for it and with some basic maintenance it is running great. I.e. Injector seals and glow plugs, filters and cleaning the EGR valve, which you expect with all diesels, especially after 8 years.
Since the resale value is so low on these cars, I am thinking of picking up another for spare parts in case I need them.
