1984 Citroen BX 16 TRS 1.6 petrol
Summary:
Good to have if you're into car mechanics
Faults:
What went wrong with the car... almost everything!!!
From clutch, brakes, and exhaust to electric windows, and in particular the "hi tech" super nice suspension - never let me do a nice trip, not once!
General Comments:
Nice car, nice to drive, a little slow when accelerating, and high petrol intake.
Very comfortable, and excellent dynamic behaviour, a very safe car.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

High fuel consumption in a carburettor fed BX can be due to removal of the temperature controlled air ducts that go to the air cleaner, or a faulty temperature controller where the ducts connect. The carburettor is set up to run best at 35C and can guzzle otherwise. Also give jets a clearing with compressed air.
