Faults:

The fuel pump points kept failing, until I replaced the pump.

The car itself was a ruin when bought; a shadow of its former self.

Interior, other than headliner, dashboard (badly cracked) and seats, was non existent, and the paint work out was terrible.

Even with a galvanized body, decades of allowing leaves to block rain channels badly rotted the body, although body work was so good welding her back was no problem.

General Comments:

Every single mechanical part of that car could be repaired without huge expense.

She had an extra gear on everyone, except first.

When put back to good order, she never sputtered once.

Towed many cars 35+ years younger, many times!

A joy to drive, more torque than a tractor!

Happily cruised at 90mph.

And most importantly, she saved my brother and his three young children. I had given him the car when I immigrated; it was raining, a drunk driver failed to stop, and my brother swerved. The emergency services were amazed that it cut a concrete bollard in half at 50mph and no one was harmed, and he drove the car from the accident!
