1988 Citroen CX 25 GTi 2.5 injection

Summary:

Very nice car for little money

Faults:

High CO + high fuel consumption. Flickering ABS-warning light.

General Comments:

+: Smooth, quiet ride. Sufficient power. Spacious. Luxury equipped. Nice shape. No problem with high mileage. Trusty mechanics. Reliable. Not attractive to car-thieves.

-: Sensitive to rust. Expensive to repair if you don't find the right workshop (avoid Citroen-dealers). Sophisticated technology which scares many non-citroenist (including workshops). High fuel-consumption.

Faults:

Everything. Some examples; parking brake completely worthless. I don't know all the trouble this car had caused me.

Never a French car again that's for sure!!

Maybe the best thing to do for this Swedish guy is buy a slow, eternal and boring Volvo, with 66 airbags, 27 seat belts and 8 wheels drive, which will last all his life, annoying him every day.

I admit old Citroen are not perfect cars, but I'm not perfect too, and I'm going to buy a 1985 CX GTI. I believe in soul of things.
