Faults:

Nothing really!

General Comments:

I owned this car for a year and a half without any problem. It doesn't really feel as reliable as a Corolla, but as long as you do maintain it, it will run smoothly.

Very economic. It consumes 5.1 Lt diesel for 100km.

Very roomy car. Both back and front.

Although it didn't give any problem, I somehow feel it is a little fragile when I compare it to a Honda or Toyota.

Still, I would recommend this car. Make sure you buy a well maintained one or brand new.

Faults:

Odour problem of French made Renault Megane 2.

Sometimes there is a terrible odour like you are passing nearby a waste disposal (or toilet) area. I asked to service station and they said that it is because of catalytic converter that Renault uses and they said after a few thousands of kilometers it will disappear. I bought this French made Renault car new and now it is about 10.000 km and still I feel this odour. Anyone who wants to smell terrible odour can buy this type of car. They also told me that this may happen because I do not drive more quicker. I laughed, I am driving cars since about 30 years and I have been driving other Renaults. I hope after the warranty period they will tell me that something else causes this and I have to pay for it. Their customs relations on the phone also said that there may be a smell, but then they have sent me a letter that there is no odour in my car. But I am the one driving it :)

The carpets move out of the plastics on the floor, you have to fix them after somebody sits on the back seat. They did not pay much attention to the details.

Some crack noises comes from the windows, I think from window jacks.

General Comments:

If you do not mind the terrible odour. Generally the people who smell this in my car decide not to buy Renault.

Car is good to drive. Nice family car. Seats are Comfortable. They say security is also good, I haven't tested it, hope not.

General Comments:

The vehicle is very comfortable.

Above 4000 rpm nice engine sound.

The turbo whistle is very motivating The turbo howling noise inside the cabin is not so good.

The sixth gear is very economic.

The engine torque is usable in every gear.

Sometimes buzzing & rattling noises are coming from the cabin when riding on uneven surfaces.

Handling and steering is very good.

Faults:

I didn't have any problem with my car till now. I can't still believe that all things run perfect.

General Comments:

Very easy to drive and I feel the safety. Very large car, but attractive, too. One of the best family cars.

Faults:

After a low-speed accident, but a major repair, the steering feels not the way it used to be. Apart from that, it's OK in general.

General Comments:

Very well built and equipped, also very generous in space - both in the inside and luggage compartment.

Very quiet while driving in town and on motorways as well. No particular noise intrusion.

Brake performance is superb.

Engine is smooth, but may be reluctant to move at first - just because it has an auto gearbox?

However, the interior is boringly dark with the black fabric upholstery and plastics. A decent plush with a lighter shade of beige would have suited better.

Climate control works well and it's easy to operate, sound system is pleasuring.

Exterior design is nice.
