2013 Audi A4 SE Technik 2.0 TDi

Summary:

Nice, but nothing special

Faults:

Small oil leak from somewhere.

Hesitant console controls.

General Comments:

There is no denying the Audi A4 is a nice car and in the "premium" market. But having owned lots of cars in this sector "family/executive" (BMW 3 series, Ford Mondeo, Vauxhall Insignia, Mercedes C-Class) the A4 hardly stands out.

It's an OK car to drive, and the 2.0 TDi even with the automatic box manages good performance and economy. It's also been pretty reliable the last couple of years I have owned it. Still feels modern for a 2013 car.

Interior is actually kinda dull in my opinion. They all look the same these days. Comfortable, functional, but no style.

Exterior wise the classic A4 shape has remained unchanged in years, but that is OK, it is a fine looking car.

So there you have it, hard to say much more. A good car no doubt, but also expensive to buy and run, and pretty boring.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

2013 Audi A4 SE Technik 2.0 TDi

Summary:

Very well put together, compact executive saloon

Faults:

Absolutely nothing in my one year of ownership. I was careful to pick a low mileage looked after car with full history - and I recommend everyone else does the same. Rough abused examples of these cars get very expensive to repair real quick, stay away from rough cars with missing history.

General Comments:

What a fun car to drive, love this A4. 2.0 turbo diesel pulls strong while still managing 50 mpg, economy and performance, best of both worlds. I believe my engine has around 175 bhp.

Most models are well equipped, but the SE Technik has all electrics and leather plus very sharp looking alloy wheels; I love the look of this car inside and out. My car is also red which I love because most of these cars are a boring shade of silver or grey. Very comfortable to be in. Interior is black leather.

It has been a better car than my old 3 series BMW, but to be fair that was an older model 2001 car, and it was just getting too old and high mileage and time to move on. I can see this A4 also lasting a long time and being able to handle high mileage no problem - so long as you service it on time. As advised above, you can buy and run these cars cheap enough, but major repairs are very expensive, so when buying used choose very carefully.
