Battery went, distributer, clutch.
Generally, it is a really sound car. It has a nice interior and has a fair bit of grunt for a 1.1. Downsides are its flimsy build and the suspension is a bit soft, apart from that it's a fab car!

I love this car, as I'm only 17 it feels seriously fast It canes my mates 1600 Orion! It eats XR2's, 205 1.6 GTI's and Nova GTE's for breakfast and if tuned to 130bhp and stripped out to the max, maybe a 306 GTI-6 for lunch!!!

Brake master cylinder, suspension, major floor rust, bad earthing problems, rattles.
Not enough tuning parts available to warrant buying an AX to modify.

Clutch *3, Replacement Trans and engine, usual things such as brake pads, lines etc.
I love these cars !
Don't expect it to stop too well on standard brake components. Interior can be a bit rattly as car gets older, this can be fixed with a small amount of effort. Quick to 60mph and great fun for throwing into corners. Not recommended if you spend all your time on the motorway at 90mph!
BTW the reason mines had so many expensive parts is because I drive it too hard, however second hand parts are dead cheap compared to some makes. Be warned if you want to put different alloys on, the wheels are three-stud fitting, this is quite rare. Pipercross aftermarket air filter recommended for making nice noises (and a bit quicker:), saves the need to replace the filter every service as well.

Everything! Brakes, electrical faults (Headlamp, Dash, Warning lights especially (still unable to be cured))
Clutch bearings, numerous tyre problems, Bent steering rack.
Brakes on this model are extremely poor, they either lock on or are not very effective, my garage have tried more times than I can remember to improve them. My overheating light seems to be stuck on and no one is able to make it work normally.

Rust holes under rear footwells, Rear brake cylinder failure, Oil leak(camshaft oil seal), Driveshaft boot split.
48mpg on unleaded. Great value fun car.

I also had an 11 TRE but the brakes were one of the best things on that car. Something must have got wrong with yours.
