2005 Citroen C2 VTS 1.6
Summary:
Amazing, fun, cheap
Faults:
No problems at all.
General Comments:
Just bought my C2 VTS last week. Had been wanting one for ages, and I'm not disappointed :)
The car is an 05, but had only done 32k miles from new. I thought these could be dodgy, so I took it for a good check over of everything on the car, and there were absolutely so problems at all.
Was worried about timing belts, since the car's 6 years old, but I asked Citroen, and they say it's 80k miles or 10 years, which is a lot longer than other cars. Good.
As for performance and handling... it's a very quick little car!! Just as fast to 60 as a 500 Abarth! Handling's sweet too; it has nearly no body roll, and the tyres are very sticky in all weather.
Running costs are very good as well. I'm averaging 37.6mpg, and that's just driving around town. Have had 60mpg showing on motorways when driving carefully. I know most of you will say that's a lie, but it's honestly what you can get with a light foot.
It's cheap to insure and tax as well. A similar Polo GTi or Corsa SRi is much more expensive in both areas. 155 a year tax.
In conclusion, it's a great little car, and I'd recommend buying one to everyone.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
