2004 Citroen C4 VTS 2.0 HDi turbo diesel
Summary:
I think it is very dangerous to drive
Faults:
The depollution faulty message has come up 4 times between March and June 2011. When this happens, the engine cuts out. I took the car to the Citroen dealer in March, but they could find no fault. When it happened in June, I called out the AA; the engineer suggested that it could be a soot build up in the depollution filter, and that a run down the motorway at high revs may cure the problem.
I again took the car to the Citroen dealer, who after several hours of diagnostics said it could be the fuse box; this would be at a cost of several hundred pounds, but may not cure the problem!!! I took the car away from the dealer and sent an e mail to Citroen UK advising how very dangerous this fault is. I received a phone call from Citroen customer service; this conversation was of no help at all. I made a phone call to Citroen to get the name of the MD in the UK. I made a call to his office and explained over a 20 minute phone call the details of the car's fault, and how very dangerous this is.
That was 10 days ago; so far no answers and no reply. Should we do something together???
General Comments:
The car was very good up the depollution problem.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No
