Brakes tend to be a bit gritty and noisy.
Great engine for a 1.1i, surprisingly nippy around town.
Accepted a Pioneer head unit and rear 6 by 9 inch speakers no problem.
I will definitely be upgrading my car up to a 1.4i West Coast.

Driver's seat often doesn't lock into place properly after position altered.
Renewed front suspension bush at 19,000 mile service.
Faulty oxygen sensor at 27,000 miles replaced under warranty (but still cost me £50 excess!).
Occasional very rough running for first few miles when cold/wet.
Now at 29,000 miles and starting to get a bit creaky and rattly.
Good little car; looks and handles well and doesn't cost much to run (regularly get 40+ mpg, best of 47mpg). However I have doubts about Citroen's build quality and long-term reliability and will therefore probably change the car before it's 3 years old.

Nothing really gone wrong yet (after 9,000 miles). My only problems have been a loose gaiter in the nearside wheel arch (recent and to be fixed on first main service), and I pulled the handle off the sun roof screen (two days before first service, but was replaced no problem).
I'd give this car 10 out of 10 for most of the above, but then it is only a £13,000 car.
It's a great car, as said many times very chuckable. Performance can be amazing, and fuel economy isn't so bad so long as you don't enjoy yourself too much. One thing - this car can be seriously boring on your favourite windy road if you abide by the speed limit (it's just too grippy). Watch you don't loose your bottle mid corner though as this car can become seriously sideways.

Leaking sunroof, faulty seat.
A good all round car, although brakes are noisy. Nippy car for only a 1.1.
You will find it hard to get a better deal on a new car.

Faulty glass on electric mirror, replaced under warranty. Problem with brakes seizing, known problem to Citroen fixed under warranty. Alarm far too sensitive, had to go back numerous times - eventually sprayed internal sensors to stop it going off all of the time.
Excellent little car, will save you a fortune in running costs, in mixed driving I rarely get less than 65mpg.

Huge dashboard rattle (nearly fully fixed under warranty).
Spare wheel was stolen because of Citroen not fitting a spare wheel bolt as standard. It costs well over £50. It's a disgrace.
Terrific value though.
Drives like an absolute dream!!!

Noisy and "spongy" brakes. You've got to jump on them to get them to do anything. I reported this to the dealer at the car's 1st service, but they told me it was a design fault.
As at 18,000 miles, no other problems.
A nice little car with excellent handling and good looks.
