1960 Fiat 600 D 0.7
Summary:
A small car with style
Faults:
The seats have started to wear badly making the journey not so comfortable.
Rust seems to creep in everywhere I have had to replace some panels and do some welding to the underside of the car.
I have had some minor electrical faults in 1997.
The starter motor has been replaced twice once in 1990 and again in 1996.
Engine has needed reconditioning once in 1983.
I had to replace the radiator in 1986 after the car overheated.
Clutch went in 1992.
General Comments:
This car is nice to drive and very economical despite all the problems I have had in the past.
The cabin is not all that comfortable, but it does look nice and so does the outside of the car.
It is designed for town usage and I suggest you don't use it as a high speed cruiser.
I would advice you to keep the car well serviced otherwise it will give you a lot of trouble.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Nice! I have a 500 Berlina F. Quite fancied a 600, but couldn't find one within my price range, even in Italy, that wasn't shot to hell. Cute little cars. And I imagine the 600 is a little less maintenance than the 500 being water cooled rather than air cooled (not that the 500 is really a problem).
