2002 Fiat Seicento SX 1.1 Mpi

Summary:

Fantastic runabout

Faults:

Nothing to date.

General Comments:

Very nippy. Has beaten a few from the lights in its time.

My father loves it, and he has been driving for over ten years in more powerful cars than this; he actually wishes to buy one when I leave for university in the car.

It handles great.

In comparison to the Mk3 Punto I drive with my driving instructor, it's very responsive even if very narrow.

It's also very fuel efficient (it's like it runs on air).

Finally I would recommend this car to any first time driver, it ticks all of the boxes it needs to.

2002 Fiat Seicento Sporting 1.1 mpi

Summary:

Sporty little pocket rocket worth the money, but inspect fully before purchase

Faults:

Two new tyres due too bad tracking when car was purchased (both were illegal)

New indicator unit.

New rear demister (damaged from previous owner.

Loud tapping on rear offside wheel (six visits to garage to fix)

3 new shock absorbers.

New clutch cable (snapped after two miles driving)

Awkward engagement of reverse gear.

General Comments:

This is my first car which I acquired for £3000 with only 8 thousand miles on the clock.

I was disgusted at the state I received the car in for saying I bought it from a reputable dealer. So far I have owned the car for 9 months and have made 11 trips to the garage, (mainly in the first 3 months) however after all the initial faults were fixed the car settled in nicely.

For a 1.1 engine I am amazed at how quick it was, it is easily equipped for town, country and motorway driving. The standard kit on this car is also very impressive for the price; it comes complete with power steering, alloy wheels, sports seats, electric windows, sun roof and body kit.

One of my main issues with this car is the very poor wet weather handling braking, I have had a fair few near misses which is scary for the amount of time I have been driving the car.

Another issue I had was with the poor service I felt I received at the dealer during the first few months of my driving as they seemed reluctant to help and kept passing me around.

All in all though now the problems have been fixed the car itself has been fantastic and I would recommend it to young drivers mainly due to the sporty appearance at a low cost.

Thank you very much for your comments the suspension on these cars does tend to be delicate as does the clutch, but for the cost its good value now looking into upgrading at the end of the year for a larger car possibly a 2000 ibiza.

Thanks again Dean.

2002 Fiat Seicento Sporting 1.1

Summary:

Fantastic value for money

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

This car is quick at the lights and will leave most cars standing.

Hit 105MPH no problem @ 5500rpm, theres 8000rpm on the rev counter!.

Excellent on fuel £25 fills up, in return about 280-300miles in London traffic.

Great looking and sounds good.

Sound system is good.

Handles like a dream in the dry, not dare do it in the wet though.

2002 Fiat Seicento S 1.1

Summary:

Unusual and small, but effective and agile

Faults:

The clutch and foot pedals are annoying sometimes, but I've gradually got used to them.

It's too unusual.

General Comments:

Ever since I bought it, I've wanted to modify it, but it's such an unusual car, so it's hard to modify. If anyone can help, e-mail me 'www.wadworld@aol.com'.

I just acquired one to, I really like the car, it is my first car, but the engine is nippy, lots of fun on country roads. Most excellent of petrol to! (very important, you do not want a boy-racer that you cannot afford to drive).

But yes it is very small.. but I love it anyway.
