2005 Fiat Stilo 6 Speed Active Aircon 1.4
Summary:
Great, cheap and well spec'd car. Just be aware of reliability issues and plan ahead
Faults:
Door hinge bolt needed tightening.
Door control cover is a little loose.
Front N/S coil spring needed replacing.
Clutch feels like it will need replacing soon.
General Comments:
Really like the car. It's cheap, yet has a really good spec.
The interior is great quality.
The car looks good.
Handling is great, sticks to the road nicely.
Brakes are very sharp.
Seats are very comfy once you get used to them (I had a little bit of back pain for a day or two when I first got it).
Engine (1.4L) is well suited to the size of the car. Acceleration can be pretty quick and it easily handles motorways, but it also doesn't guzzle up fuel.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Correct. Drove one for 3 years from now. It is like a lite sport coupe with Italian flair and yes, it's fast, 6 speeds and the suspension is close to an Alfa while maintenance is easy and cheap. Plenty of quality parts for little money incl. Brembo, Monroe etc. Added Supertech, filled up with Shell Helix PurePlus and Nanoenergizer; now really quiet, flexible and MPG is around 50 (6L/100km). It's a looker, too. I love it.
