2017 Fiat Tipo Easy Plus 1.4 petrol
Summary:
A great used buy
Faults:
Nothing, only had it eight months.
General Comments:
The Tipo offers low running costs and a cheap entry fee. Where else can you get a low mileage 2017 car for around £7995? It won't hold what little value it has well, but I hope to keep this car long term if it proves more reliable than Fiat's of days gone by. I had a Punto once and it was awful, but that was many years ago.
Modern Tipo immediately feels better built. A bit dated looking on the inside, but you cannot expect much for the price. Easy Plus model has plenty of extras, Bluetooth, cruise control, etc. Cabin is quiet enough.
The car looks very nice in black with original Fiat alloy wheels. Great looking in my opinion.
Only downside so far is the 1.4 engine - not very fast and the best mpg I have had is 45, not the 49 claimed average.
Still, it is a modern hatchback that does everything I need for a good price, and is a good overall car, and not a common sight on the roads, so it is nice to drive something a bit different.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I was in a friend's one at the weekend. Nice car, Fiat have come a long, long way, but are still a bit under par quality wise. The seats felt comfortable enough, but the dash looked cheap, and long term reliability if you did a lot of miles probably still isn't great.
Still, the modern Tipo is better than the one my aunt had in the early 1990's, but that wouldn't be too hard ;)
