1995 Ford Fiesta Si 1.6 16v
Summary:
A good eyecatcher
Faults:
Nothing so far, oh yes a light bulb. Two front tyres replaced.
General Comments:
I love it, so does everyone else at 6th form, especially when they get a lift in it! It's comfortable, pretty fast for a 17 year old girl who only passed her test in Jan 2000. And it looks pretty smart and sporty being black with alloys. A bit heavy on fuel though... and insurance!!!
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I have a Fiesta 1.8D.
I've had it since I started driving about two years ago and it has never let me down. OK, apart from once when I replaced the clutch and the clutch cable subsequently snapped and left me in the middle of a junction just revving!!
When I bought the car it had 76k and now has 83k, so I haven't covered a lot of distance, but in the 7k it has done, it has never complained.
Granted, if you want to overtake you have to check the wind is behind you and your going down a very steep hill to even attempt it!!!
The main advantage of having the diesel variant though (other than the economy) is that if you have four people in it, it pulls just as well as if there were only two!!
An a little hint for the minor problems that occur, treat it bad!!!My courtesy light stopped working so I gave the switch in the door hinge a good beating and it now works. Also my emissions were too high to pass an MOT so I put the pedal to the metal, revved the nuts off it and hey presto, a cleaner car!!!
Don't knock the mighty fiesta, it'll put up with a lot more than you would expect!!
