2006 Ford Focus LX 1.6 petrol
Summary:
Mediocre but fun to drive hatch
Faults:
The usual wear and tear, no major issues that I can remember.
General Comments:
The Focus was always a sharp handling car, but the rest of it was pretty average.
LX model is mid range, had enough electrics for me at the time. Seats were nice.
1.6 petrol was typical of its time, reasonably economical (35 - 40 mpg) and decent performance. Silent and smooth about town but a bit noisy on motorways.
All in all for my second car it was decent enough. Don't see too many nowadays from this time, probably due to the fact they seem a bit susceptible to rust; when you do see a 2005 or 2006 Focus they usually have rust along the bottom edges. When I got rid of mine at ten years old I could see this starting also. That issue aside, it is probably as good as any hatch from the time period.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

This owner has hung on to the car for a long time, and certainly qualifies to give a broad based and accurate review of the car.
