Faults:
Gearbox packed up & then replacement gearbox packed up twice (still under warranty), self levelling suspension cost £250 per shock, A/C packed up, cruise control intermittently works, engine began running "lumpy" so Ford ran a diagnostic and said everything was OK but it was not - throttle position sensor was at fault, ABS has loose connection & plays up, 18-20MPG urban, Rev counter works when it wants to and the rear window demister switch keeps overheating and burning out.
General Comments:
Apart from all its problems it is a very comfortable car to drive. I paid just under 3000 UK pounds and for my money got a very high spec car (even though some things don't work - but they did once!). The car was originally owned by Ford which is why it has self levelling suspension, which is generally only available on the estates - I think it was probably used to chauffeur some Ford exec. around as it has heater, radio & headphone controls in the back.
