1991 Ford Sierra sapphire Ghia 4x4 2.0i DOHC
Summary:
A little pocket rocket
Faults:
The center bearing on the prop had failed when I bought it,£15 from local scrappy, ford dealer wanted £380 for new prop due to "we do not do the bearing on its own"
Heated front screen only seems to work on the passenger side.
General Comments:
This car is very underrated, even though it has the 2.0 engine it still goes like a rocket although fuel consumption does tend to be nearer 20 mpg when thrashed
I bought the car for £40, spent £200 on it and am now going to replace the suspension with bilstein components to get the best out of it.
A pity ford stopped making it
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

40-50 MPG sounds impressive, I do blast up the motorway at more than 70 but I recon I get about 29MPG. £40's worth usually lasts 300 miles if I'm lucky, all thanks to the slippery shape.
