2017 Ford Transit Single Cab LWB H2 2.0 TDCi

Summary:

Solid van for work

Faults:

Mostly wear and tear parts replaced, no big problems.

Sliding side door a bit flimsy, but it has had heavy use.

Tiny oil leak from somewhere.

General Comments:

The modern Transit is generations ahead of older versions in regards to abilities and reliability. I have enjoyed using this van for work for the most part.

Typical white exterior and inside is wood lined, they are good value for money for business use. Plenty of space and general running costs are as good as it gets. 35 - 40 mpg on diesel is OK for this size of van.

2.0 TDCi is also powerful enough that even when loaded it handles hills and long drives just fine. Not the fastest, but there is never anytime the van struggles. I find it quite peasant to drive for a van. Seats are comfortable and the van has all the mod cons.

Sound system is good quality though the van is still a bit noisy on motorways.

Overall the Transit has always been a safe bet for a business van, I cannot fault them and have had many over the years now. I don't normally get rid of them till they rust which happens at the 10 year point, typical of any van really. But there is plenty life in this 2017 van yet - if looked after well.
