1990 Honda Civic GL 1.4 16v
Summary:
Very reliable, cheap motoring
Faults:
None, excellent reliability.
General Comments:
Overall an excellent car. Very reliable, I've never had any serious problems with it although I do respect it and service it regularly.
Driving wise is handles very well, having power steering is a definite benefit.
The seats are very low in the car so you feel closer to the road, this is comfortable while allowing a good feel for the car.
The performance is fairly good, although don't expect much pull on the motorway. I tend to like fast cars, so perhaps I'm being biased, but while the 0-60 of the car is respectful the top end seems minimal. Although only a 1.4, the twin carb 16 valve set up makes it as fast as a 1.8 8v Golf Gti, while matching it's reliability.
Fuel economy is fairly good, around 150 miles to a tank. Insurance is actually fairly high considering its performance, but it's a fairly old car with no alarm or immobilizer.
Although it's generally reliable, hope that nothing goes wrong as Honda parts are a rip-off.
Generally, you will not be disappointed, for reliability and low-cost running it's a bargain.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

R you sure you get 150miles to a tank? I think you mean 350 to a tank.
