Faults:

Head cracked on the engine @ 30k miles on its new engine. Dealer made it too expensive to fix.

Throttle position sensor broke, making the check engine light randomly turn on and off, and making fuel economy worse.

General Comments:

When these jeeps run right, nothing will match them. The higher spec ones are good looking. The Executive model had comfortable, soft seats with separate armrests.

People say to service them right with the right oil, and they will be OK; I say that's crap. It only prolongs the disaster that is coming. A ticking time bomb is what they are, and it kills me to say stay away from them, but I still like them.

Fuel economy was bad compared to its rivals.
