2014 Kia Optima EcoDynamics 3 1.7 CRDi
Summary:
Average
Faults:
DPF replaced (expensive).
Minor electric issues.
Clutch feels like its on its way out.
Oil leak.
General Comments:
Had this Optima a few years and not done much mileage. It has been pretty mediocre to be honest.
Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad car. 1.7 diesel engine is powerful and economical. And my model is high spec with leather seats and all electrics. It's a pleasant car to drive and be in.
Bloody good looking as well. My car is black metallic with fantastic alloy wheels.
But just concerned about reliability long term. The car isn't exactly old or high mileage by anyone's standards. But I have had a few issues lately.
I'll get it all sorted and hopefully the car holds up well beyond 100,000 miles as all my cars had managed before no problems. But I think this car is a bit overrated and overpriced on the used market.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

They must be good cars, they are not exactly cheap now either - a similar aged and mileage buying used Ford Mondeo / Vauxhall Insignia is the same price as a Kia Optima or Hyundai i40.
