1983 Mazda 323 L 1.3 petrol
Faults:
Clutch replaced @ 80,000 miles, otherwise nothing more than normal wear and tear, (exhaust, wheel bearing, etc)
General Comments:
Good solid car, V economical. The only real problem is that I feel too young to drive this car, it feels far more suited to an older driver with a Trilby hat on. Lacks acceleration.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I also own a Ford Laser S pack with a 1.5 manual and twin carb, and it's a magnificent car. It has air and power steering, and when you turn the air on you don't really even notice it.

I own a 1983 1.3 manual (transparent corner lights) and I can say that it's really amazing. It's very reliable, fun to drive, quite powerful especially if I manage to find a good 1.5 GT to replace the engine! He He! Anyone wants to sell one??
A very good japanese car.

I own an'82 model with a 1.5 and 5speed. I find it quite quick. It runs up to red-line in lower gears very quick and more than once I've "wound it off the clock" (160kph).
Fade.

The only reason why it lacks acceleration dear, is because it's a 1.3 auto. The 1.3 and 1.5 manuals are great, I own a mazda 323 with a 1.5 and manual with twin carb (which is actually a Ford Laser, but the same car, Ford just badged it) and it really MOVES.
