1984 Mercedes-Benz W124 230E 2.3 injection
Faults:
I just bought the car with 240,000 miles on clock and a full service history, so nothing yet.
General Comments:
I paid £300 for this beauty and added new wings; I'm also looking for new drivers seat (the previous driver was 23st!). The engine still sounds like new and the ride is amazing considering the mileage.
Everything works perfectly except the vacuum central locking which is a bit sluggish. The bodywork is sound although a respray would restore to immaculate condition. A collectors piece that'll last ages with care.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I have two Mercedes, a 1988 W124 300D with 260,000 miles, have looked after it myself, would not drive anything but a Mercedes. I also 1988 W124 230E with 113,000, an ex government car.
Would recommend any W124 Mercedes to anyone, do not be afraid of high miles but look for some sort of history.
Mercedes do not build them like they used too, stick to any Mercedes before 1996. They drive forever, just change the oil when it's due.
