2003 Nissan Almera SXE 2.2 turbo diesel (dCi 136 bhp)
Summary:
An ideal used family car, for those not concerned with prestige
Faults:
No significant issues, other than there is a leak somewhere, as the inside of my windscreen ices up in very cold weather, and the gears are difficult to select when first started.
General Comments:
So far, I am very pleased with it. It has been by far the best car I have owned.
This is a post-facelift model, which I think looks great. The exterior styling is enhanced with 16 inch alloy wheels, side skirts, rear spoiler and fog lights.
This car has a high level of equipment, such as a six speed gearbox, climate control, traction control and satellite navigation.
This car is very quick with its 2.2 136 bhp Renault diesel engine. A very entertaining drive.
I have been a little disappointed with the fuel economy on this car, but this may be down to being used mainly around town. This car, with its 136bhp diesel engine, is best suited to motorways and A roads.
EDIT (Jan 2022): Apologies, I realised years later that this did indeed have a Nissan engine not Renault. I sold this car in 2021 with 106,000 miles. It wasn't a cheap car to keep on the road, but the best thing about it was the performance.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

2004 SXE diesel. This car is a bargain for the money. It's very fast, has 6 speed box and 136 BHP. Looks like a bit of grandad car until you leave them shaking their heads at the traffic lights.
Interior is very good quality.
Sat nav, climate control, ESP, fog lights, great sound system, alloys. You won't find anything to compare to this car for this money.
