Faults:

Not much beyond the wear and tear you would expect at the age and mileage. We kept the car serviced on time and drive correctly. Never was abused.

Lately however the auto-box is playing up and likely won't be worth fixing.

General Comments:

We have had this Nissan Note for about 8 years. Needed a family run about and it has been pretty much perfect for that purpose.

Odd color - weird orange/brown. Looks OK though. Inside is typical of a Japanese car, lots of grey plastic everywhere. The car won't win any awards for looks or design. But I can live with it.

Comfortable enough, if a bit cramped, and smooth and quiet on the move, the car drove OK. 1.6 with the automatic was adequate enough, and did about 39 mpg on average.

SE model has comfy seats, alloy wheels, electrics and A/C.

Boot space is a joke, not a car to have if you carry a lot of luggage, but it will seat 4 adults in relative comfort.

Shame the auto-box is playing up (jerky shifting) as I would have kept it another year or so, but at 16 years old and high mileage it will likely be scrapped. Not the best car I have had, but I will miss it, it has been pretty good to us.

Faults:

Suspension rattles, air con won't work, minor oil leak, plus the usual work to brakes and wear and tear parts for age and mileage. Auto box a little jerky now, but still works fine.

General Comments:

My black 2009 Note has been family used for the past 5 years and has stood up well to my use and abuse. I do service the car at the bare minimum, but it has been a workhorse and a bit of a shed in the last year or so, but still soldiers on.

1.6 with the auto box is surprisingly nippy and still manages around 40 mpg. The car is economical to run.

Rear space is a joke, but it is a smaller family car, and my family is not so small haha. The trays on the back seats are a nice touch though.

Tekna spec is well equipped and the alloy wheels are nice.

Worth a look if you are after a small family car and don't have much cash.

4 new tyres.

General Comments:

Fantastic for a 1.6. I use Shell Optimax, which is 99 RON over 95, and it makes a difference. The car feels more responsive, and I have managed to get 45.7 MPG on the motorway at 70 MPH.

Overall, it is a brilliant car. I am only 25, but this is my car; I have no kids and not married. But so much better value for money over a Focus or Astra, and nippier than both of them in 1.6 form. :)
