1991 Nissan Sunny LS 1.4L 16v Twin Cam
Summary:
A good loyal friend
Faults:
The only thing that had gone wrong with the car was:
it needed a new windscreen wiper as the old one flew off on the motorway.
General Comments:
This is a very good car. around town it can do up to 32 mpg. which is almost as good as my old 1.2l Micra.
When the car is full i. e 4 adults, full boot, you have to take a good run at hills doing about 40mph in second at about 4200 rpm.
On the motorway it will return about 44 mpg. which was good because I did a lot of motorway driving. it did cope well even in the fast lane doing 90 mph. push it beyond 90 and the car will roar so I tended to stop at about 80-85 mph. it would do 70 mph in 5th at 3200 rpm.
You would have to put your foot to the floor to do a quick over take or possibly drop to 4th. But it was a 1.4 so I was not expecting sporty performance. but it was quick enough for me.
The seat's did tend to be a little Uncomfortable after a while.
The driving position was too low for me.
It had an OK sound system.
The cabin is what you would expect old japanese cars' to be, "dull".
Overall it was a good car never let me down always started first time even in cold weather. this would be a good first car as it's cheap to insure and reliable.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
