1995 Peugeot 106 Mardi Gras 1.5D
Summary:
The most reliable, economical and long-lived car I have ever owned
Faults:
Glow plug preheat relay and wiring loom connection to it failed.
Driver seat back broken and had to be fixed by welding the strut halves together. Cheap problem to fix, but annoying.
Radiator needed to be replaced twice. Strange problem that seemed to cause the fins and waterways to separate.
Two glow-plugs seized in their threads before I acquired the vehicle.
General Comments:
This is a very economical car and is still returning around 60mpg at 184,000 miles.
Build quality is excellent with no major drop-offs, rattles or mechanical failures.
The gearbox is very positive and the engine pulls well in spite of the high mileage.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Room for 12" subs... carrying that kind of weight around sort of defeats the point of owning the Rallye since its handling will become a lot less sharp, but everyone to his own.
