2001 Peugeot 307 Style 2.0TD
Summary:
A bit more performance and softer seats would be nice, but generally I am OK with it now
Faults:
Indicator switch has been replaced twice.
Ignition switch replaced under recall notice.
Horn not working.
Hatch lock doe not shut properly.
General Comments:
A modification, com2000, was ordered from Peugeot, which should remedy the indicator and horn simultaneously. This took so long to arrive, during which time I had to continue to use the vehicle in a dangerous and illegal state, that eventually I wrote to the dealer, Perry's of Bletchley, and threatened legal action on the grounds the vehicle was not fit for the purpose for which it was intended. Curiously, the part became available the next day and was fitted the day after that! (So try this if your dealer is slow). The new switch is a big improvement as it does not switch itself to the opposite signal when straightening up, however, it is not perfect and if the steering wheel is in the wrong position it is difficult to keep the right signal on.
The seats are hard and give me bum ache after 3 to 4 hours in the car.
The original tyres, Continental Premium Contact, were worn out on the front after 12000 miles. The replacements, BF Goodrich, should do twice that.
The hatch does not shut properly and a new lock was ordered at 12000-mile service. I am now near to the 24000-mile service and still waiting for a new lock.
I am happier since the indicator switch was 'fixed' but still angry that it took so long to remedy.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

I have also been experiencing a cracking sound. At first this was only when steering on full lock, but now it's when accelerating also. I'm due to have it looked at very soon and will post the outcome.
