1985 Peugeot 309 L 1.3 petrol
Summary:
A faithful old bucket!
Faults:
Arm broke off wind screen wiper switch.
General Comments:
The car was given to me in desperate times, (demise of previous vehicle in accident), and had already gone to seed...
Although it sounded like a tin of nails in a spin dryer, to be fair, given the age the engine was fairly responsive, however, sharp corners were not for the feint hearted as it rolled like a drunk.
Most of the interior had various bits broken off. Mainly switches and handles, which was a shame, as the few accessories on this basic car still worked if you had patience and a pair of pliers!
The upholstery was mainly on the floor.
It was a brief affair and the car was there for me when I needed it. In our six month relationship it never let me down... at least when I realised the choke wasn't automatic.
Having previously owned a Renault 25TXE, it was pure culture shock and unfair to blame the car!
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
