Fantastic, great looking and easy to drive!
Heating/cooling doesn't work in settings 1 and 2, it doesn't bother me so I didn't get it fixed.
Visibility out of the back window isn't great.
Very responsive with good acceleration and it beautiful to drive.
Great looking car with a characteristic charm to it!

A great fun car, easy to drive, reliable and with great fuel consumption
There have been no faults, just the odd rattle and blown bulb.
A great car with fantastic fuel consumption of 50-55mpg. It fast, fun to drive, handles well, always starts and manages a full load of five without complaint.
It's well equipped and more fun to drive and own than my last car, a BMW 318 that with hindsight was expensive to buy, run, insure and service and a relatively boring drive.

Classiest car with this low insurance and price
Nothing so far, a few small rattles in the dashboard and a crackly speaker in the rear - nothing drastic.
Looks excellent in metallic black - better than anything in the price range in my opinion. Good Alloy wheels - even if only 15 inch.
Interior with sports seats and British racing green seat and door inlays looks good as well.
Shame you can't get Air Con on the 1.4, unfortunately my insurance is too high for a 1.8!
Very basic stereo - swapped immediately for decent Sony CD changer.
Performance not massively fast, but perfectly adequate for fast motorway cruising. Handling leagues above 200 especially on small roads.

I agree with your comment on the stereo, the model fitted to my 1999 Rover 200 was pretty terrible (Rover did not even fit tweeters) so I changed it for a Blaupunkt system which sounds a lot better. Where did you fit you CD changer? - I fitted mine in the boot, but I can't find a way of routing the cable so that it cannot be seen at any point...
I fitted my changer in the boot as well (screwed to the back of the smaller of the back seat sections)...I put the cabling right under the carpet round the drivers side (where all the electrical cables trail), you can still see them in the boot though... looks okay though.
I haven't yet upgraded my speakers, that's the next thing I want to do!
I think that all 25's have 200 VI suspension as standard, that's why its better.
I am going to buy my first car. Do all Rover 25's have rattly interiors?. Help!!!

OK, so it may handle better than a 200, but is the ride as comfortable?
